Knight Skye Farm is owned by Darryl Leifheit and Janeene Jennings-Leifheit. After a career in high tech, Darryl retired from Dell Computer in Austin, TX;  Janeene closed her real estate business - then we completely changed our lifestyle and relocated to the Horse Capital of the World - Lexington, Kentucky!  We are located just a few miles from the Kentucky Horse Park in the heart of the bluegrass. Throughout the years we've bred American Saddlebreds, Friesians and Georgian Grandes. Now we are out of the breeding business and no longer competing.  We enjoy following the happy lives our "babies" are leading in their new homes throughout the country. The horses that remained with us over the years have passed now and our lives are forever changed. All our dogs that lived here on the farm have passed.  We have been overrun with feral cats without the dogs - so now we have 4 cats.   We are huge fans of the American Saddlebred and actively promote the versatility of this intelligent, beautiful and exceptionally trainable breed.

The question is not, "Can they reason?" nor, "Can they talk?" but rather "Can they suffer?"   - Jeremy Bentham
